Sping Summer 2007A melange of colors, fruit salad to industrial greys and silvers are the trends for Spring Summer 07.
The fruit salad coloration is interesting to me, more oranges, sherbet in melons, strawberry, kiwi and banana, colors accented with a touch of khaki. Be bold and use the warm tones of the yellow and orange with denim or navy.
Texture and Natural fibers explode into the scene. Hemp, bamboo. organic cotton and soy yarns are hot topics in the yarn industry as well as the home furnishing.

Now how do you use these colors of the season? Accent a wall, use touches of them throughout the house by pillows, towels, etc. Each season I make new kitchen towels, cloths this year I made many out of bamboo yarn and did some hand dipping of colors for fun accents. Next issue we will start sharing about dyeing yarn....get those odd color of skeins ready for overydying, squeeze bottle painting and tie dyeing.
In home furnishing, lace accents, natural fibers and color accented by neutrals are the palette. Color chips below represent the fruit salad melange of colors. Aren't they yummy!
